It is the second largest and second most populous continent in the world .it is bounded by the Mediterranean sea in north west ,Red sea in the north ,Indian Ocean in the south ,arbian sea in the east and Atlantic Ocean in the west.it comprises 56 country .South Sudan separated from from Sudan and became a new countries in 2011.
It's northern most point is Cape blanc and the southernmost point is Cape agulhas.
It's hightest point ismount kilimanojaro in Tanzania and lowest lake is assal.important mountain ranges are ahaggar,atlas,darkensberg tibesti,etc.
Important dams are the awan dam on Nile and the kariba dam on the jambezi river.
Important water falls are the Victoria falls on Zambezi and boyama falls on Zaire river.
